Some dieters prefer to work out in the morning whilst some people definitely aren’t, and will never be ‘morning people’ and will consider morning workouts a real chore. Well there are benefits to exercising as soon as you get up or by setting the alarm clock earlier in the morning to schedule a workout, including:
* An early morning workout can help you to get going and be geared up for the day!
* there will be minimal distractions as other members of your family are likely to be still sleeping, getting ready for the day or having breakfast.
* Exercise in the morning jolts the metabolism and helps to burn even more calories during the remainder of the day.
* Morning workouts helps to keep our brains focused and our ability to concentrate improves and will continue all day.
* Because reserves of glycogen are depleted in the morning, fat stores will be burned for energy.
* When exercising in a gym, facilities are not likely to be already in use, enabling a greater choice in exercise machines, with minimal waiting time.
* When exercising outdoors, the weather will be comfortably cool.
All good news, but you should consider the problems encountered in deciding morning work outs. When you exercise before eating your morning meal, your body end up burning muscle as well as fat for energy as energy levels are likely to be low early in the day. The potential for strained muscles could be increased because the muscles in your body may be be cold and tense after sleeping all night.
Additionally, when you are someone that finds it difficult to get themselves from their bed every day, a morning exercise plan is going to feel like torture and definitely lead to a bad temper , frustration and a pessimistic feelings toward exercise, all of which are not productive and will not promote healthy weight loss. This may result in not as much effort given in work outs or abandoning workouts altogether.
Conclusion
In our opinion the best approach would be that, if you are one of the lucky few who are able to get out of bed with no problem and revels in the idea of working out early then setting the alarm clock an hour earlier would be a fabulous idea to schedule a morning workout. This will prepare you for the day and kick start that metabolism.
If you hate getting up in the morning, don’t worry too much. Working out when it suits you is much better than none at all. The best idea would be to try and find out when you most enjoy exercising and stick to it. By doing exercise at the same time everyday, your body come to expect it and it will become second nature. Persistence is probably, the most crucial aspect of exercise.
